Songs of the Salish Sea

Besides Scotland I have another true love: whales—and the breathtaking waters of the Salish Sea.

The Salish Sea is the connected coastal waters of the Pacific Northwest, including Puget Sound, the Strait of Georgia, and the Strait of Juan de Fuca—stretching between Vancouver Island, mainland British Columbia, and Washington State. The name honors the Coast Salish peoples of the region and has been officially used since the 2010s.

That’s why I decided to dedicate an entire series to this second passion: Songs of the Salish Sea. There will be three books—each one a complete standalone story, loosely linked to the others:
